Ashland Agrees To 75% Tax Abatement For Charles River Laboratories

Ashland’s largest employer, Charles River Laboratories, announced it is expanding its workforce and adding a 200,000 square foot facility, which will see 500 more jobs on top of the 1,100 they have now in town.

Ashland City Council this week passing a tax incentive package, according to RichlandSource.com that includes a 10 year, 75% tax abatement.

RichlandSource.com reports, the expansion will see Charles River’s payroll expand to $24 million and prompted Mayor Matt Miller to say “This is our Intel.”
