A new state law in Ohio now requires Amish buggies traveling on public roads to have a flashing yellow light displayed.
RichlandSource.com reports, State Representative Darrell Kick of Loudonville was one who co-sponsored the bill that aims to cut down on accidents between buggies and cars. A 10 year ODOT study found that 65% of crashes with buggies took place while passing. The study from 2009 to 2019 found more than 720 accidents took place involving buggies.
