Longtime Ashland Police detective Kim Mager is retiring from the force, after nearly 25 years.

According to RichlandSource.com, her retirement won’t last long, as Mager has agreed to join the Ashland County Prosecutors office as an investigator. Ashland Police Chief David Lay said, Mager, who helped develop the Shop with a Cop program in town, has worked relentlessly to be an advocate for children. Mager is an Ashland University graduate and joined the Ashland PD in 1997.
