Mansfield Police are investigating an apparent shooting death, which took place in the 300 block of Jennings Avenue. Captain Shari Robertson told WMAN Friday morning they received a call just after 7 am and, right know, it is an active crime scene. A firearm was located near the victim, who the identity of has not yet been released. There was other evidence found in the shooting incident and more information will be released later today.

Update - Police say the victim was found lying near an apartment building by a citizen early this morning and detectives are looking into the possibility that this incident may be linked to an Arson of a vehicle that was reported in North Lake Park at 12:47AM.
