The owners of the former Kingsgate movie theater on Park Ave West in Mansfield have until December to demolish the building, according to RichlandSource.com.
The Mansfield Planning Commission granted an extension, after the company appealed on May 3 that the original 30 day timeline was not long enough to contact contractors to complete the work.
The property has sat vacant for than 2 decades and Mansfield Building and Codes manager Marc Milliron said, the condition is beyond saving at this point. Skilken Gold said, they are still keeping the option open of bringing the building back up to code by December 4th.
