In Ashland, Police are issuing more parking and speeding tickets, according to RichlandSource.com. Nearly 50 parking citations have been issued in the downtown area since the start of the year.
Mayor Matt Miller said this is not a scheme to make money, but Ashland does not have parking meters and some have gone beyond the 2 hour parking limit or having been blocking a driveway or parked too far from the curb.
Captain Craig Kiley said they have been receiving more complaints about speeding and with the weather warming up and school letting out, which means more kids outside.
