Rising inflation has gas prices soaring and just about everything going up in cost. RichlandSource.com reports, it’s starting to show now in the local county sales tax figures. Richland County Auditor Pat Dropsey told the County Commissioners last fall that due to the record inflation, as prices go up – people may spend less.
Commissioner Tony Vero said there could be a concern that the economy is starting slowing down, as April of 2022 was only 2% better than April of the previous year.
