In Ashland, the plan to repave Claremont Avenue could be delayed until later this year. Mayor Matt Miller said the state grant funding is now available, but the lone bid on the project came back $1 million over the estimate and state law requires that bids can’t be over 10% of the estimated cost.
The project, which was estimated to cost just over $3.5 million, will see bids go back out again soon and work could get underway later this summer, however, it may not be completely finished until sometime in 2023.
