Mansfield City Council has accepted a grant of a quarter of a million dollars from the Richland County Foundation to encourage further development downtown.
Foundation President Brady Groves told Council this week making the $250,000 dollars in grants available to developers and property owners could be the quickest way to have an impact.
RichlandSource.com reports, Groves said this is part of the Mansfield Rising plan, which saw the pandemic set them back a couple of years.
The goal is to increase residential opportunities in downtown Mansfield.
