A $1.4 million grant has been approved for Richland County to widen the shoulders on Lexington-Springmill road from Home road to Marion Ave.

RichlandSource.com reports, County Engineer Adam Gove says it will add about 6 feet on each side of the roadway over the 1.4 mile stretch. Work is expected to be done in the summer of 2024.

It’s one of many projects to take place across the state after the Ohio Department of Transportation announced $51 million in Traffic Safety Projects on Thursday.
