The Richland County Humane Society says 17 dogs were recently removed, from a now condemned, home on West 3rd Street in Mansfield.
Linda Chambers, Managing Director of the Richland County Human Society said they were notified by a city worker about the home, which eventually got the Mansfield Law Director involved to remove the canines from the home.
The dogs are overall doing pretty well now, but do have some skin issues from the living conditions in the basement of the home. The Humane Society is in need of monetary donations to help cover medical costs for vet care for the dogs. Chambers said the public has been great since hearing about the dogs, which saw a truck full of supplies dropped off on Monday to help the Humane Society.
