In Ashland County, the board of elections says they do not have enough poll workers for the May 3rd Primary.
According to RichlandSource.com, as of Monday, roughly 40 spots still need to be filled across 19 polling locations in the county. There are a variety of reasons for the shortage from people being out of town or having surgery to taking a different job from when they signed up to be a poll worker. Another reason is all of the confusion with the districting maps in the last few months.
Ashland County will have 3 training classes on April 26 – 28 for those interested in being a poll worker. Each class will be 90 minutes to train people for either the May or November Election.
