Richland County Auditor Pat Dropsey had some high praise for the county commissioners this week, after Moody’s Investor Service gave the Richland County its highest ever credit rating of Aa3.
RichlandSource.com reports, Dropsey, who has been auditor for two decades and has spent 30 years in the auditor’s office overall, said “it wasn’t the economy: it was the county policy and financial balances over the last 6 or 7 years.
Dropsey, saying the cash balances are as good as they have ever been, crediting the 3 current Commissioners Tony Vero, Cliff Mears and Darrell Banks, along with former Commissioner and now State Representative Marilyn John.
