In Ashland County, a plan is in the works for a new headquarters for the Health Department and Emergency Management Agency.
According to RichlandSource.com, the county commissioners approved to purchase the former Rite Aid store on Claremont Avenue for $845,000 dollars. The estimated cost of the project is around $1.5 million dollars. The Commissioners hiring an architect firm out of the Cincinnati area to handle the project.
The plan will include installing windows and re-doing the entrance to the building. No exact timeline has been given on when the work is scheduled to be complete.
