Richland County has now received its highest ever credit rating of Aa3.
The credit report from Moody’s Investor Service is actually 1 notch higher than the previous rating of Aa2. Commissioner Tony Vero releasing a statement they are quite pleased with the rating, which Richland County benefits from its strong financial position, large and growing tax base and low debt burden. The Commissioners will discuss it further during their meeting on Tuesday with County Auditor Pat Dropsey.
