Mental Health Wellness Coordinators Begin Program In Lexington Schools

A program is set to begin in the Lexington Schools, which will see two mental health wellness coordinators from Catalyst Life Services available in the district 20 hours per week.

Joe Trolian, Executive Director of the Richland County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board, said this will be provided at no cost at the high school and junior high. Trolian said early intervention where they can teach them some techniques. RichlandSource.com reports, Superintendent Jeremy Secrist welcomed the program. Several other area schools: Mansfield, Shelby, Plymouth and Crestview currently have the program in their district.
