The North End Community Improvement Collaborative this week announced plans to build an $ 8 million dollar community center.
RichlandSource.com reports, the community center would be located on Springmill Street and would be 3 floors. Many features would include a gym, art gallery, pool, theater, classrooms, art studio, recording studio and kitchen.
In total, the building would be around 30,000 square feet. NECIC Executive Director Deanna West-Torrence said this would help fill the void after the closure of the OCIE Hill Neighborhood center and other schools in the area.
