A Richland County Grand Jury has found that officers used justifiable force during an officer involved shooting in July of last year.
According to RichlandSource.com, the incident took place on Wood Street last summer on July 29th. Richland County Prosecutor Gary Bishop said the officers placed themselves in harm’s way in order to save another life.
The officers found a man suffering from serious stab wounds. The suspect then charged at the officers with a knife, who fired their weapons. The man later died at the hospital. The victim, who was stabbed, did later recover after surgery.
