The Richland County Commissioners have given the OK for the purchase of a vehicle for the Coroner’s Office.

According to RichlandSource.com, this will replace one of the current vehicle’s, which is close to 10 years old and is in need of several thousand dollars in repairs.  The cost of the replacement is just shy of $23,000 and the plan is to use funding from the American Rescue Plan.

Commissioner Tony Vero said the need is there for the vehicle, as the Coroner’s office is called at all hours of the day and night.
