Ashland County Board of Elections To Receive $55,000 In State Funding

The Ashland County Commissioners have approved a grant from the Ohio Secretary of State for more than $55,000 dollars.

According to RichlandSource.com, the money will be used for administrative costs toward the preparation of the May 3rd Primary election. Right now, there is a lot of questions on could it be delayed or even divided into two primaries because of proposed legislative redistricting maps still not being approved.

Early voting is scheduled to being April 5th.  Ashland County can use the money to pay for overtime, among other things.
