A project to install a new storm sewer is in the works install in Mansfield and will be done in the West 3rd and Linden Road area, near Kingwood Center and Mansfield Senior High School.
The system was built back in 1947 and is not getting rid of the water fast enough.
Engineer Bob Bianchci has plans to route the water down the street to help reduce flooding in that area when it rains. Plan to start work when school lets out this year and have it done before students head back to the classroom in August or Early September. Cost around $400,000.
