COLUMBUS - The state controlling board has approved the release of $152,943.00 for three separate projects in Richland County.
First, The Ohio State University requested and received $32,887.00 for a boiler replacement at the Recreation Center Life Safety project, which will allow the programmatic goals of the project to be further enhanced by accepting all alternates in the Boiler Replacements project.
Secondly, The Ohio State University requested and received $92,127.00 for the Mansfield-Recreation Center Fire Alarm Upgrade project in Mansfield, Richland County.
The Mansfield Campus Recreation was built in 1977 and is in need of upgrades due to the current boiler and fire alarm system being outdated.
Lastly, The Ohio State University requested and received $27,929.00 to be used for upgrades to the building's entryway. This project will replace the existing main entrances, vestibules, doors, and ADA hardware on the Campus Recreation Center, Conard Hall, and Eisenhower Memorial Center on the OSU-Mansfield Recreational Campus.
