In Crawford County, it looks like 175 workers will be out of a job, as the GE lighting plant in Bucyrus is closing.
RichlandSource.com reports, the exact date of when the plant will close is not known, but thought to be sometime this year.
The GE Lighting, a Savant company, has been making light bulbs in Crawford County for about 80 years and at one time had around 300 workers. The company saying they are closing operations in Bucyrus and in Logan, Ohio because of a decline in demand in the type of fluorescent lamps they produce.
