The Richland County Commissioners this week got a request for a half a million dollars.
According to RichlandSource.com, most of the $500,000 dollars would go toward paying for a new roof for Fairhaven Hall at the Richland County Fairgrounds.
The Richland County Agricultural Society leaders met with the 3 Commissioners about the funding after most of their events have been cancelled over the last two years because of the pandemic.
The plan would also see some resurfacing work done too. Cost of the new roof just shy of $400,000 dollars.
