The United Way of Richland County held their " Dash to the goal " on Friday and drew one lucky name to win a Chevy Trailblazer from Graham Automall. Shawana Smith of Mansfield was happy and shocked to hear her name called. She stopped to donate to the United Way and ultimately took home a new vehicle. The United Way has been selling tickets since October as a fundraiser.
Dan Varn, United Way Executive Director, told WMAN they had already raised more than $51,000 on Friday. Entering the day they had already reached 88% of their $1.4 million goal, which they hope to reach in the next of week.
