New Chief Operating Officer UH Samaritan Medical Center In Ashland

ASHLAND, Ohio—Sylvia Radziszewski, RRT, MBA, has been named Chief Operating Officer of University Hospitals (UH) Samaritan Medical Center. Radziszewski succeeds Todd Harford, RN, BSN, MBA, who assumed the position of COO at UH Elyria Medical Center on Dec. 1, 2021.

Alongside the UH Samaritan Executive Leadership Team, Radziszewski will help the medical center improve quality, patient experience and financial outcomes. She will also spearhead programs to engage UH Samaritan employees and the Ashland community.

“Sylvia’s broad experience in multiple aspects of health care delivery made her an ideal candidate for this position,” said William A. Benoit, MOT, MBA, FACHE, COO of the UH South Market. “Having her on board at UH Samaritan will help us explore and deliver new and innovative ways of delivering best-in-class care close to home.”

Radziszewski has consistently held leadership positions throughout her career. She recently served as the Regional Vice President of Ohio for Chenmed – Dedicated Senior Medical Centers in Miami, FL. Before working at Chenmed, Radziszewski led numerous teams in Northeast Ohio as COO of Orthopedic One in Columbus; Vice President of the Oncology Institute at Summa Health System in Akron; and Executive Director at Mercy Cancer Center in Lorain.

“UH Samaritan has a significant history in providing high-quality health care and making a positive impact on the communities it serves,” Radziszewski said. “I am excited to bring my career back to UH, and work with incredible leaders and caregivers to continue enhancing health care services for our patients.”

Radziszewski is a Registered Respiratory Therapist, RRT, and holds a Master of Business Administration from Kent State University. As a Respiratory Care Advisory Board Chair at Bowling Green State University, Sylvia is committed to civic engagement and staying aware of advancements in her field.
