The Shelby Lady Whippets are one win away from the State Tournament, after Audi Albert scored with 2 seconds to play Tuesday night in a 35-33 win over Copley in Regional Semi-Finals at Mansfield Senior High School. Shelby led 15-9 after one quarter and trailed at halftime 21-20. Shelby took a 4 point lead a to the 4th quarter at 31-27. The game was tied at 33-33 when Sophie Niese drew the defense and dropped a perfect pass to Albert who threw it off the glass and in to send Shelby to play in Friday's Regional Title vs Columbus Bishop Hartley, who beat Toledo Central Catholic in double overtime, 47-45.
Shelby (27-0) is looking to reach the State Tournament for the first time since 1992.
