The Mansfield Board of Control this week gave the OK for the purchase of 3 new Ford Interceptor All-wheel drive utility vehicles for the Police department.  The cost, which still needs city council approval next month, is just over $232,000.  Chief Keith Porch said they are in luck because these 3 are available in Pittsburgh and they are willing to hold them if they know we are moving ahead with the purchase.  American Rescue Plan money would be used for the SUV’s, which if bought outright would save Mansfield over $11,000 in interest.
