The Mansfield Board of Control this week awarded the contract for the Dry Dam design to a company out of Columbus.

RichlandSource.com reports the $1.5 million dollar agreement with the company EMH&T.

Mansfield engineer Bob Bianchi said the design work will take 2 years to finish. The project, which would cost right now around $17 million in total, is aimed at reducing flooding in the north end of town. Once the design is complete, it would then need city council approval to move ahead with the project.
