The city of Mansfield got good news this week in its credit rating, which could see them pay lower interest rates down the road.
According to RichlandSource.com, Moody’s Investor Service gave Mansfield an A2 credit rating and removed the negative outlook it gave the city back in the fall of 2020. The removal of the negative outlook was because of Mansfield’s plan to reduce debt and healthy income tax collections in 2021. The A2 credit rating is the 6th best – Mansfield was A 3 in 2015 and in fiscal emergency back in 2010.
