Snow plow drivers have been working around the clock to plow and clear roadways from Thursday's heavy snowfall all across North Central Ohio and likely will continue for a good portion of Friday too as the snow comes to an end. Up to a foot is expected to fall across the area with blowing and drifting snow causing travel to be very difficult.
Richland County issued a level 3 snow emergency ( as of 5 pm on Feb 3rd) for the first time since the 1990's, according to RichlandSource.com. Sheriff Steve Sheldon said it allows for city and county drivers to be able to plow the roads safer and quicker. Ashland, Crawford and other counties moved to a level 3 with roads quickly becoming hazardous. The storm was quite a big one that actually stretched 2,200 miles across the US from Texas up to Maine.
