Possible Expansion Of Mohican Memorial State Forest, Up to 116 Acres

In Ashland County, there is talk about a project to expand the Mohican – Memorial State Forest. 

 

The Ashland County Commissioners have signed a letter of approval, according to RichlandSource.com, which then could lead to an expansion of 116 acres. 

 

 

The land is privately owned and located at the southern end of the 4,500 acre forest. The organization helping to secure the land is hoping to use grant money, which will see them file the application by mid- March.
