Mansfield Fire Department To Buy New Equipment, Use Rescue Plan Funds

Some new equipment is on the way for the Mansfield Fire Department.

City Council approving the purchase of 4 life pack heart monitor defibrillators, which have a price tag of cost $36,000 each. Thanks to the work from the Fire Department there is trade in value for 4 units – cost to Mansfield just over $77,000 total. City Council President David Falquette said its like buying 2 and getting two 2 free. Money will be used from the American Rescue Plan to cover the cost of the new equipment.
