Due to a change in regulations in the American Rescue Plan, the Richland County Commissioners have claimed 3 times the amount of lost revenue.

According to RichlandSource.com,  the Commissioners first claimed just over $3 million dollars in lost revenue in September of 2021 due to the pandemic, but a change in the rules earlier this month has now allowed them to claim $10 million dollars in lost funds due to COVID-19.

Richland County in total will see just over $23 million dollars from the American Rescue Plan.
