Due to a substitute teacher shortage one member of the Ontario School Board has volunteered to be a substitute teacher in the district.

According to RichlandSource.com, Amy Hiner saw the need and offered to help. She can’t be paid because board members can’t work for the district, but Hiner does have a master’s degree in education and has taught elementary school before joining the board. Ontario Superintendent Lisa CarMichael called the move very generous.
