May Ballot Will See Bond Issue For A New K-12 School Building In Lucas

Voters in Lucas will see a bond issue on the May ballot to build a new k-12 school.

The board voting this week to place 37 year - $27 million dollar bond issue on the spring ballot. If passed, according to RichlandSource.com, the owner of a $100,000 dollar home would pay $315 dollars annually. Lucas High School was built in the early 1900’s, elementary school in the mid 1950’s, while the middle school was constructed in the late 1970’s.
