In Crawford County, children who test positive for COVID-19 are being sent a free book.

RichlandSource.com reports, the idea came from Health Commissioner Katie Siefert, who said because of the pandemic it’s not as easy to get books in the hands of kids through the normal ways. Crawford County Public Health has partnered with Crawford Reads on the program, which has sent out more than 200 books since September.
