At approximately 6:11PM Sunday, the Mansfield Division of Police responded to 183 Rowland Avenue Apt. 2 in reference to a deceased person. Upon officer’s arrival at the location, a relative advised he had found the victim, 38-year-old Deanna Hoam, deceased inside the residence. During the death investigation, it was found that the victim, had what appeared to be several stab wounds to her body.
Major Crimes Detectives are investigating this incident as a homicide and a search warrant was served at the location and certain evidence was collected. The victim’s car, a 2007 red Ford Fusion, was missing from her residence and was later located in the city parked on Blanche Street. The vehicle was seized and will be searched for possible evidence that may be related to the crime.
Ms. Hoam’s death is the 1st homicide of 2022 in our city. We are asking that anyone who may have additional information regarding this crime, to please call Major Crimes Detective Larry Schacherer at (419) 755-9766.
