Grand Jury determines Shelby Police used justifiable force in shooting

A Richland County Grand Jury has determined justifiable force was used by Shelby Police in a March shooting incident. According to Richland Source, the announcement was made via a press release issued Monday afternoon by Richland County Prosecutor Gary Bishop. The release in-part reads: Prosecuting Attorney Gary Bishop and Shelby Police Chief Lance Combs report that the officer-involved shooting incident of March 16, 2021, in which Travis Hadley was wounded has been determined to constitute a justifiable use of force by the Richland County Grand Jury. The Ohio Attorney General's Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification was contacted to process the scene and conduct an independent investigation of the incident.
