In Madison, teachers and students protested during the board of education meeting this week.
RichlandSource.com reports, this is due to the Madison Local Education Association working without a new contract since it expired back in July. A new deal has yet to be worked out, even though a mediator was brought in for negotiations.
One union spokesperson saying the teachers want a fair living wage in their next agreement.
