Mansfield Finance Director Linn Steward said that the city’s budget for 2022 is looking much brighter than it has in years past due to funds from the Cares Act and American Rescue Plan.

RichlandSource.com reports, Steward’s report to the finance committee shows Income tax revenue is up about 3.5% from this time in 2019.

Income tax is about two thirds of Mansfield’s yearly budget. Council needs to pass a temporary budget by the end of the year, which is expected to be around $31 million dollars.
