The Richland County Prosecutor’s Office has asked the County Commissioners for an extra $200,000 in its budget for next year.
RichlandSource.com reports, the reason is to give pay increases to the office staff and be able to hire another attorney. Prosecutor Gary Bishop said his office recently has experienced a frequent turnover rate.
The Commissioners are working on the 2022 budget, which needs to be ready by the end of December.
