Shelby Worker Strike Ends After New Contract Reached

The steel workers strike in Shelby has ended.

According to RichlandSource.com, ArcelorMittal and the Union came to an agreement on a 4 year contract, which will see workers get a 13% pay increase over the next four years.

Healthcare premiums will be lowered and guaranteed time off for some holiday’s and weekends.

Nearly 500 workers had been on strike since November 1st.They reached an agreement on Thursday.
