Lexington Board Votes To Drop Mask Mandate

In Lexington, the school board has dropped the mask mandate.

According to RichlandSource.com, the board votes 4-0 to return to a mask optional policy, which is now in effect.

The board also voted to adopt new COVID-19 guidelines from the Ohio Department of Health, which says students who are exposed to someone with COVID-19, can still attend class if they wear a mask and are showing no symptoms.

Lexington’s mask mandate had been in place since September 20th, when they district had more than 110 cases of COVID-19 in the first 3 weeks of the school year.
