Multi Agency Pursuit Ends in Arrest of Homicide Suspect
Mansfield – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a multi-agency pursuit that occurred in Richland County. On November 3, at approximately 11:10 p.m., the Mansfield Post received a call to assist the Bellville Police Department in a pursuit involving a black 2013 Dodge Charger. Troopers intercepted the pursuit in the area of state Route 13 and Straub Rd in Richland County. During the pursuit, tire deflation devices were successfully deployed, deflating three tires. The suspect vehicle continued into the city of Mansfield where troopers were able to get the vehicle stopped after it struck two parked vehicles. Two juvenile suspects fled the vehicle and were apprehended. Drugs and a loaded gun were located at the scene and seized. One of the juveniles had an outstanding warrant for a homicide out of the Columbus Division of Police. Both were incarcerated at the Richland County Juvenile Detention Center.
The incident remains under investigation and charges will be forthcoming.
