Ashland Working On Plan To Replace 100 Year Old Claremont Ave Bridge

In Ashland, officials are working on a plan to replace the more than 100 year old Claremont Avenue Bridge.

According to RichlandSource.com, the cost is around $1.3 million, but will only cost the city of Ashland just over $700,000 – thanks to two statewide grants.

The bridge, which runs over Town Creek, is next to the Municipal building and is limiting vehicles of up to 27 tons because of its age. Work on the bridge expected to start in the spring.
