Election Day: 20 - 25% Turnout Expected Today In Richland County

Today ( November 2) is election day with lots of local candidates for area school boards in Richland and Ashland Counties.

Voters in Mansfield will be casting their ballots for candidates for City Council At-Large and in the 1st, 3th and 5th wards. Voters in Shelby have 3 renewals on the ballot, one for the local schools, along with parks department and the Health Department.

Richland County Board of Elections Director Matt Finfgeld said they are predicting between a 20 and 25% turnout, which he said is normal for an off year election. Polls will be open until 7:30 pm this evening.
