A property tax levy may be needed next year for the Richland County Park District.
The reason is to be able to open the Fleming Falls Nature Preserve, which RichlandSource.com reports the district purchases two years ago and is turning the former camp into a park.
The upgrades would be to the trails, along with repaving of roads and parking lots. Conversations with the county commissioners are taking place now in terms of the 2022 budget and whether a levy will be needed.
