$68,000 Request From Commissioners For Mansfield West End Neighborhood Plan

The Richland County Commissioners have been asked to contribute just over $68,000 to Mansfield’s West End Neighborhood plan.

According to RichlandSource.com, all three commissioners spoke in support of helping fund the project, but first need to check to make sure general fund money can be used to support the project.

OhioHealth president Vinson Yates is excited about the project, which would see improvements including sidewalks, roads, street lights and would take a look at traffic patterns in the area around the hospital along with Marion Avenue, Park Ave West and South Main St.

OhioHealth is Mansfield's largest employer with 2,500 employees and has invested over $220 million in their facility on Glessner Ave.
