The Ontario Local Schools are now requiring masks in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
This comes after 46 Ontario students have tested positive as of the end of August. The district says that all of last year 61 students contracted the virus.
Ontario hopes the mask requirement, which started Sept 1, will be temporary and will apply only to all indoor school settings.
The district says they are committed to high quality in-person learning, which implanting masks will help toward that goal.
